Lutherbibel Evangelien

Martin Luther

€25

Packaged neatly together at the beginning of the New Testament, the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John tell four different versions of the life of Jesus. Whilst the first three “synoptic gospels” are similar in structure and content, John, written some 50 years later than the others, is the odd one out.
Investigating the gospel’s dissimilarities is an old theological chestnut. So old in fact, that it has a name: the “synoptic problem”. Whilst most theses are preoccupied with which gospel came first, we’ve focused on the analysis itself.
Using the very latest, updated Lutherian translation, we connected each recurrent station in Jesus’ life with a vivid red line. The result is pure graphic poetry, and admittedly, a divine mess. Now you can see clearly what every attentive Christian already knows: the gospels don’t follow anyone’s rules.
